ICS 2019 CANADIAN THANKSGIVING DINNER REPORT

ICSers and friends attending had lots to be thankful for at the Sunday October 13 ICS Thanksgiving Dinner.

The venue, AVALON, was perfect on all counts: the comfortable, private setting; the excellent, innovative menu; and service par excellence. Avalon's hospitable owner, Sheerin Wilde, also provided a bottle of wine for the prize draw. He and his team couldn't have given us a better experience.

The coveted K-Club foursome draw prize was won by Tom Howlett; two ICS annual memberships were won by Nora ni Chuiv (for the second time!) and Eoghan Boland; and Air Canada was again a generous prize donor providing two well-filled goodie bags (that down the road will nicely keep 12 cans of whatever one fancies well chilled). a 40-ouncer of Crown Royal and large, after-dinner, chocolate 'coins' for everyone, among several other things.

Other sponsored prizes, ranged from an Ireland Canada Business Association envelope containing 50 euros in cash, an envelope containing 30 euros in Woolshed Sports Bar vouchers, a bottle of prizewinning New Brunswick sparkling wine complements of the Canadian Embassy. Other items provided by ICS included an Irish Cookbook, a Canada Hockey toque, and a delightful Despicable Me wall clock. Also, ICS provided a Canadiana favour for all the adults and gifts for the children.
